Like a ship presiding over these swathes of light: a long bar adorned with copper, zinc and shagreen (a leather made form the skin of rays) upon which swim craven images of sea creatures. Women tend to hang their bags on them as there are some mischievous fish masquerading as bag hooks. You can sit and eat at the bar and in passing order glasses of champagne or muscadet by the glass.
